Scheduling and Payment Policy (Updated September 2025) You may schedule sessions directly through the online calendar, where you will receive both a confirmation email and reminder notifications by email or text. Payment is required at the time of scheduling through the website. Because I also teach full-time, the online calendar and payment system help ensure efficiency and accuracy. If we arrange sessions during a consultation, I will provide an invoice. Payment must be received within 48 hours of the consultation; otherwise, the reserved session(s) will be cancelled and the time slot(s) released to other students. This policy ensures fairness to all families and allows me to dedicate time to students who are fully committed. If a scheduled session is canceled and not rescheduled, a 15% administrative fee will be deducted from the refund.
Consultation A consultation is an introductory meeting designed to discuss your student’s goals, learning needs, and overall fit for tutoring services. This conversation provides an overview of the tutoring process, available subjects, and scheduling options. Please note that consultations are general discussions only. They do not include a review of specific assignments, test scores, or individual academic cases. Personalized evaluation and instructional recommendations are provided during paid tutoring sessions, where sufficient time and context are available for a detailed analysis. Tutor Availability Policy Your tutor will provide as much notice as possible if she needs to reschedule your tutoring session. You can typically expect at least a 48-hour advance notice. On rare occasions, an unexpected event beyond our control may cause your tutor to cancel your tutoring session on short notice. Such events include, but are not limited to, personal or close family member illness or injury, death in the family, auto or other accidents, auto mechanical problems, traffic gridlock, police or government roadblock or restriction, severe weather, and natural disaster. Your tutor will strive to arrive on time for all of your tutoring sessions. On rare occasions, an unexpected event beyond our control may cause your tutor to arrive late. In such circumstances, you can expect your tutor to provide as much advance notice as possible of the late arrival. If possible, I can extend your tutoring session to allow the full amount of scheduled time or add the missed time to a subsequent tutoring session.
Cancellation/No-Show Policy Please provide as much advance notice as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule a tutoring appointment. You can email for appointment cancellations with at least 48-hour advance notice, but you should call/text if you need to cancel on shorter notice. A cancellation or rescheduling of a tutoring session, except for unexpected events as defined above, must be done with at least 48 hours notice or you forfeit the tutoring time. Repetitive rescheduling, late cancellations, and/or “no-shows” will result in the cancellation of tutoring services. Late Arrival/Departure Policy If you are running late for a tutoring appointment, please provide as much advance notice as possible by calling/texting. Fees are calculated according to the times stipulated in the schedule and no adjustment shall be made for time lost because of late arrival by the student. If you are running late to pick up your child, please call me. I often have a student scheduled for the next lesson and/or I may need to leave our tutoring location. Repeated late pick-ups may result in terminating tutoring services.
Academic Integrity The tutor will not compose essays or complete any assignments on behalf of the student. This includes "checking" or assisting the student with completing take-home assignments and/or online quizzes/tests/exams.
